Beer Fest ....only in Korça
140,000 glasses of beer consumed in four nights of Beer Fest.

Following the success of the past four years, Korça organized its 5th Annual Beerfest in August of 2010, with it multiplying in all components. Korca’s beerfest marked the peak of tourist season in the city. And with the wide success of the Beer Fest and other events, Korça has been at the center of summer fun in Albania.
This year, the Beer Fest had an increase in participating companies serving as sponsors (AMC, Union Bank, Emporiki Bank, Konstruksion 93, Xromodhomi Albania, Albstar, Favina and Universiteti Kristal). These sponsors have provided tremendous financial support and have greatly contributed to the success of Korça’s Beerfest. Contributors of different beer and food included: Birra Korça, Birra Kaon, Birra Skopsko, Birra Peja, Birra Bavaria, the companies “Fix”, “Caca”, “Tanka” and the dessert company “Dajana”.
To compliment the thousands of citizens from Korça who attended, thousands of visitors and tourists, both domestic and foreign, chose not to miss Korça’s Beerfest as well. The Beer Fest was has many musical performances of both traditional Albanian music and popular foreign music. On the final night, the Beer Fest concluded with two well-known foreign musical artists Elita 5 Live and the famous Greek singer, Lefteris Pantazis.
The Municipality of Korça has organized many large scale, successful events, coupled with strategic promotion that include television commercials and print media Korça also prints an annual “Calendar of Events”, which includes all of Korça’s great tourists attractions, events, cultural and historic sites, as well as dining and lodging information. All of these efforts have helped stimulate the local economy and position Korça as the premier city for Albania.
